So this website has gone rather neglected. I hope to get it updated throughout the summer. I aspire for this site to serve as a living archive for the work I completed for my M.Arch Thesis. For now though, I am delighted to state I did successfully create a multi-variable generative process. Which automatically creates facade forms in response to solar, natural ventilation, and daylighting levels.
Climate and weather. The coupling that creates both discomfort in humans while also providing resources of energy that is not dependent on environmentally damaging manufacturing processes. Architecture sits at this intersection of reconciliation between the natural, human habitation, and the manufactured. The facade needs to be optimized to relate to climate while utilizing the energies within winds, the sun, and precipitation.
Utilizing computation, informed by climate data, for the purpose of self generation can provide the designer access to optimizing the facades relationship and utilization of climate and weather. The human and natural world can be optimally synthesized with such an application of technology.
